An overview of employee benefits at Twelve.

We believe that a big part of enabling the success of our employees is taking care of their health and wellbeing, as well as the health of their families. That is why Twelve provides full health insurance coverage (at 99%) to our employees and their dependents, and much more. Read about our full benefits below. 

Medical, dental and vision 

The physical and mental wellbeing of our employees is crucially important to us. To help alleviate some of the stress that comes with healthcare, Twelve pays for up to 99% of the total cost of medical, dental and vision insurance for employees and their families. This includes nationwide plans through Cigna (medical), Delta Dental (dental), and Guardian (vision), with and local plans through Kaiser Permanente (medical).

Health savings account funding 

Employees who elect medical insurance in an HSA-compatible health plan are provided $130/month for single coverage and $210/month if they are also covering dependents.

Parental leave 

New parents are able to take up to 12 weeks of parental leave to welcome a new addition to the family, and up to 6 weeks of part-time work (at full-time pay) to gradually transition back to work.

Company ownership

Twelve provides every employee with company stock options because every employee’s contributions are integral to achieving our mission to reduce  global emissions and building a fossil-free future.

Work at home stipends & reimbursements

All employees are eligible for phone reimbursement and headphone stipends, while remote and hybrid employees are also eligible for home internet and home office equipment stipends.

Financial wellness 

Twelve offers the opportunity to contribute to both pretax and Roth 401(k) retirement accounts and employees are also able to participate in pre-tax flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care costs.

Paid time off

It’s important that everyone feels they have the ability to refresh and recharge. Twelve offers unlimited Paid Time Off for salaried employees and 15 vacation days annually for hourly employees.

Winter break

Twelve closes down for the period of time from December 25th to January 1st to provide all employees with time to unwind without thinking about what they are missing.


Twelve offers many wellbeing programs like One Medical, Spring Health, Headspace, Calm, Gympass and Fetch pet insurance that help employees focus on their total health.

Office pantry 

We provide plenty of drinks and snacks for employees that visit the office to stay energized.
